Adult day care services at Communicare are designed specifically for the benefit of adult clients and their families. Care is provided only during daytime hours.
Our clients spend nights and weekends in their own homes or with their families.
Adult Day Health Care provides preventive, diagnostic, therapeutic and rehabilitative services under medical supervision to meet individual client's needs.
The daily rate of our adult day care program includes transportation and meals. Extended care is available at an additional rate. Call for details.
Financial assistance is available for those who qualify through the State of New Jersey Department of Health & Human Services and other agencies throughout the county.
Who benefits from the Communicare Adult Day Care Program?
Older adults who live alone but need supervision services to maintain their independence in the community will benefit from medication management, health education, help with shopping, social services, and transportation to physicians' offices.
Those with a recent physical impairment such as a hip or knee replacement, or a stroke will receive assistance with activities of daily living or the therapies they need to maintain their independence or optimal level of functioning.
Those adults who spend their days alone and find social and physical isolation impairing will enjoy exercise, crafts, nutritional meals, and snacks. Making new friends will enhance their quality of life.
